INFORMATION EX ART. 13 OF THE PRIVACY CODE DRAWN UP IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE GUARANTOR’S DECISION 08.05.2014

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text strings that user-visited sites send to their terminal, where they are stored to be retransmitted to the same sites at the next visit of the same user.

For the purposes of this, cookies are distinguished by technical and profiling, depending on the function for which they are used, and in first-party and third-party cookies, depending on the subject that installs them.

Technical Cookies

Technical cookies are used only to “transmit a communication on an electronic communications network or to the extent strictly necessary for the information society service provider explicitly required by the subscriber or user to provide such service” (see Article 122, paragraph 1 of the Privacy Code).

Technical cookies are distinguished in navigation or session cookies (they guarantee the normal browsing and use of the website), cookie analytics (similar to technical cookies where used directly by the site manager to collect aggregated information, number of users and on how they visit the site itself) and feature cookies (allowing the user to navigate according to a set of criteria selected, such as the language, in order to improve the service rendered).

The prior consent of the person concerned is not required for the installation and use of technical cookies.

Profiling cookies

Profiling cookies are used to send online advertising messages to user preferences as part of network browsing.

The consent of the interested party is required for the use of profiling cookies.

Third Party Cookies

Taking into account the different subject that installs the cookies on the user’s terminal, depending on whether you are the same site manager as the user is visiting or a different site that installs the cookies over the first, it is distinguished from first-party cookies and third-party cookies.
